Job Description:

Overview:

Miller Cooper has proudly served entrepreneurial, middle market businesses since 1919. Excellence, unparalleled client service and a customized approach to each client’s priorities distinguish Miller Cooper as a trusted resource of each organization we serve. You are competing in an industry with unlimited possibilities. At Miller Cooper you can find challenging opportunities in an environment that rewards performance. We believe your success is our success.

Job Overview:

Our interns have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of industries including, but not limited to, manufacturing, distribution, construction, professional services, technology startups. Training is provided both formally upon hire, as well as consistently while on the job. Every employee has a Performance Manager who will meet with you quarterly (at a minimum!) to discuss your personal career development. We are looking for professionals who want a career in public accounting, strive to grow within the firm, and love a laid back and fun culture!

While Audit Staff spend a high percentage of time at the client site, 95% of our client base is located in Chicagoland, so overnight travel is very limited and employees maintain a great work/life balance. We also allow all employees to choose to sit in either of our offices- Chicago or Deerfield.

*Participate (under supervision) in all stages of the audit, review, and compilation engagements

*Complete workpapers, financial statements and tax returns as assigned before submission to senior/supervisor/manager/principal for further review

*Other duties as assigned, such special projects, including other agreed upon procedures set forth by clients.

*Stay up to date on procedures, AICPA and CPA society rules, FASB and other authoritative literature
